Tails, you lose
The "Ponytail Bandits" -- a group of young Hispanic men suspected of five armed robberies in one night -- will likely be arraigned today, police tell SF Weekly.

The men, who earned their nickname from police due to their distinctive appearances, were arrested Sunday when officers noticed a white van matching the one seen motoring away from the robberies. It turns out the alleged crime spree was a family affair.

The men arrested were Edgar Rodriguez, 29, Eduardo Rodriguez, 28, and Jose Rodriguez, 22 -- all brothers out of Hayward. Also arrested in the van was Deandre Ware, 26, another Hayward resident.

Victims of the San Francisco robberies couldn't ID Ware -- police believe he may have been the man behind the wheel. But the quartet is implicated in Oakland robberies as well.

All four are facing charges for armed robbery and conspiracy in San Francisco.
