Lady Gaga Destroys DADT -- While Wearing Meat

| Can Lady Gaga do away with DADT before this dress goes bad? |
Even I am not gay enough to pull off a bacon dress.
And fans actually started doing it, and making long videos (that have a pretty sweet payoff -- stick it out) recording their activism.
Reid then scheduled the vote for next week. When Gaga talks, people listen. This morning the Lady released a seven-minute video explaining her position and showing everyone how to stare like a zombie while waiting for voice mail. Who wrote the script for her?
Now, of course, the decision issued last week is still an open issue -- and the repeal amendment, which is part of a military spending bill, is actually pretty shitty. Frankly, DADT is more dead with the decision than the trumped up repeal. That's why two senators asked the Department of Justice NOT to appeal the decision. Expect more on this story next week, naturally.
This past week featured the last primary elections before the November midterm vote, and it was an exceptional night for openly LGBT candidates. According to the Victory Fund, 29 of 33 candidates won primaries last week and many of them are not facing fierce battles in November. I see gay people!
Also worth noting, a woman named O'Donnell who thinks masturbation is bad, dirty, and wrong won an election somewhere in the country. She's absolutely right about masturbation. That's why I do it.
Florida Gov. Charlie Crist (who is not gay) has decided that if he wants to win his senate race this fall, he'd better start to suck up to the gays. Crist ditched his Republican party to run for senate because a teabagger was competing (and would have kicked his ass). As an independent he must do what he can to steal votes from Democrats. Whatever, Mary!
Speaking of Democrats, the party has a chic new website and an equally chic (if you are a coward) new list of civil rights priorities. They want to repeal Don't Ask Don't Tell "in a sensible way" -- which means not really at all -- and the party thinks it should "ensure full civil unions" for the gays. No mention AT ALL of the Defense of Marriage Act.
I guess they like DOMA and want to keep it. Does that conflict with the party's newfangled civil rights platform?
In San Francisco, it appears that Target is getting the message that the gays are pissed at it for making a controversial campaign contribution. The big box retailer would like to open two stores in the city and the hearing with the city's Redevelopment Agency has been postponed yet again.
If Target doesn't make things right, we are going to sic Lady Gaga and her meat dress on them. That is a threat and a promise.
Patrick Connors is an uppity fag that thinks meat dresses are actually pretty disgusting.
