Fisher-Price Recall Rationale: Toys Cause Genital Bleeding

| Ouch! |
According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission, more than 7 million "trikes and tough trikes," which have been on sale since 1997, are being recalled. The rationale: "A child can strike, sit or fall on the protruding plastic ignition key resulting in serious injury, including genital bleeding."
In retrospect, the location of the "disc-shaped or D-shaped pretend key," is highly suspect -- as is the need for a key when dealing with a tricycle. Millions of other toys are being recalled for less cringe-worthy reasons -- you can peruse the list here.
You can also view all of the trikes you really, really don't want your kids riding here.
