Adult Dating Site Sued for Fraudulently Seducing Lonely Men

Not everyone takes kindly to fake sex partners
A group of self-described "lonely and vulnerable men" has filed a class-action lawsuit against the adult-dating site amateurmatch.com, [warning: link NSFW] claiming they were fraudulently seduced with fake e-mails from nonexistent horny singles.

The suit, filed in U.S. District Court in San Francisco, asserts that the business interests behind amateurmatch.com and related sites mounted "a complicated scheme to defraud millions of users" and enticed men to pay for subscriptions to the service "with the false promise that they are communicating with real women in their area who are interested in dating and/or intimate relationships."

Here's how it would work, according to the complaint: Some horny dude taking advantage of a "free trial" on amateurmatch -- during which he can only receive messages, not send them -- gets messages from fake women to persuade him that, hey, maybe this site could get him laid. The suit states that these are "automated Bot messages ... sent from different fake profiles."

For instance, two allegedly fake users named "luckysaga91"and "lapanistar" sent the same message to different guys:

I've not had a REAL man in quite some time! You know one that really knows what he is doing, not some 2 second chump who leaves me [redacted] and unsatisfied! If you know what you are doing then you could be the man for me.
Unfortunately, according to the lawsuit, "actual meetings will never -- indeed can never -- take place between paying members and the fake profiles in the AmateurMatch Enterprise's database."

Now this sounds like the kind of miscarriage of justice that calls for correction action in the federal court system.
