Acer Roberts, 37, Gunned Down Near Sunnydale Projects

​The San Francisco Medical Examiner has identified the man on Friday shot dead on Brookdale Avenue near the Sunnydale Housing Projects: Acer Roberts, a 37-year-old San Franciscan.

Roberts was found mortally wounded after police received a gunfire report at around 8:20 p.m. Friday. He was transported to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died. 

Roberts is the city's 35th homicide victim of the year and first since 53-year-old homeless man Michael Ponder was discovered beaten to death near Kezar Stadium on Aug. 28.

No arrests have yet been made in Roberts' death.
