Potential Homicide: Man Stabbed Multiple Times in Lower Haight Apartment

This case has not yet been declared a homicide -- multiple stab wounds are an indication it might be, however. The Medical Examiner's office has not yet identified the white, 36-year-old male.

An ID is possible as soon as today. A homicide classification may take longer.
Should the unidentified man be declared a homicide, he would be the city's 30th of the year and first since homeless man Joseph Swim was stabbed to death in Buena Vista Park a week ago. Swim's drinking buddy, Michael Little, is charged in that homicide; he has pleaded not guilty.
