Two men fled the scene; both are black males, believed to be in their 20s, and one had dreadlocks, the San Francisco Police tell SF Weekly. A semi-automatic pistol was recovered near the shooting site. The relationship between the suspects and victim and what led to this shooting are not known.
The as-yet unidentified man is the city's 31st homicide victim of the year and first since German tourist Mechthild Schröer was shot dead when caught in a crossfire between gun-toting revelers in the Theater District on Aug. 8.
