'Jack Daniels,' SPCA's Stolen Kitten, Arriving from New York Today
| Jack Daniels, like his namesake, has matured well with age |
The cat, now 13-months-old, is arriving back in San Francisco today courtesy of Jet Blue, along with human chaperon LeeAnn Falciani. After the kitty is cleared by SPCA vets, he'll be put up for adoption -- again -- sparking an all-but-certain mad rush to adopt The Cat Who Came Back. And Falciani says he's a keeper.
While JD was found roaming around Manhattan, he doesn't look like a stray. He's 11 pounds now, and appears to have been fairly well taken care of. "He looks great," says Falciani. "He looks like a sturdy cat. He doesn't look like he walked across the country, y'know?"
In addition to coming with a hefty set of frequent flier miles, Jack Daniels, unlike his namesake, is "sweet, very friendly."
In any event, it seems San Franciscans will soon have their shot at Jack Daniels.
