It's Stupid Hot -- Are You Happy Now?

Hot as hell book cover.jpg
The lamentations of countless San Franciscans who took issue with San Francisco weather have found their way to the weather gods. It's going to be hot as balls today (92 degrees -- but down to sensible temperatures by the weekend) -- and a Spare the Air Day is again in effect.

Here's our ozone forecast, by the way. San Francisco's "moderate" level of 67 indicates that "sensitive" people should avoid outdoor exertion. Then again, National Weather Service heat advisories for San Francisco should give anyone pause about outdoor exertion.

Today is the second Spare the Air day of the year, and second in two days. Sadly, you don't get free trips on area transit. But, on the plus side, you're still free to spark up that wood-burning fire, should you so desire.
