'Here is a man who stood up...'
If you hop in a cab today, be sure to thank the driver. You may be getting ferried around by a hero.

Today at noon, the cabdriver who alerted police and followed a car that left the fatal shooting of German tourist Mechthild Schröer will be honored with a celebratory lunch at John's Grill today. Since the cabbie has been advised to remain anonymous while the killer remains on the loose, a clever solution has been devised.

At noon, the Cabbie of the Hour will pull up -- as will a dozen of his fellow Luxor cabdrivers. Ta-dah!

Hopefully, a glass is lifted to Schröer at some point, too.
