San Francisco's Most Stylish Bank Robber (Pics)

Categories: Crime
Yesterday we reported on a bank robber who -- counter-intuitively for someone who is pulling a gun and breaking the law -- was wearing open-toed shoes and dressed so distinctively that witnesses at two San Francisco banks were able to describe her appearance from head to toe.

Now we've got some pictures to go along with the words.

No photos of the sandals. Sorry.
The suspect has a rather full description to go along with these unflattering surveillance pictures. When she pointed a pistol at the teller and robbed the Bank of America at 5268 Diamond Heights on Friday, witnesses couldn't help but notice her curly brown, shoulder-length hair with distinctive red highlights; sunglasses; a black purse; denim dress; and silver flat sandals.

When she purportedly did the same at another Bank of America, at 3701 Balboa, on July 12, she was carrying an eye-catching orange purse.

The 5-foot-3, 130-pound, thirtysomething Latina has some competition, it seems, in both the female bank robber field and among fashion plate hoodlums.

On Monday, a black woman in her mid-20s hit the Chase bank at 926 Taraval just before 10 am. Eyewitnesses couldn't help but notice the robber's "distinctive black leather jacket with Donald Duck on it."

Call the police -- and the fashion police!
