Never Mind Those Pit Bull Maulings: 'Bun Bun,' 'Piglet' Need Good Homes
Leave Pit Bulls Alone!!!!!
This would not seem to be the ideal market in which to attempt to peddle behaviorally challenged pit bulls. And yet, San Franciscans need not leave city limits to pick up the following doggies -- who, we're sure, will just kill us with kindness.
On terrificpets.com, we have an entry called "bully needs new home." No worries, that's just the breed -- American Bully, that is -- not this cutie's name. This San Francisco pup "needs a new home because my older dog and cat do not like him and I fear for his safety." Bully is the victim here, not the perpetrator. "He's very cute, friendly, playful and smart" and needs a "loving forever home." Awww....
Goes by 'Bunny' for short.
Coming from petango.org, is Bun Bun from the San Francisco SPCA. He has self-esteem issues: "I am a sweet pit pup that was abandoned because I had a flare up of a common skin condition." You think a dog with a rash would eat you? He is young with "lots of energy, but I know how to relax, too. I have stolen the hearts of the staff members here and I'm sure I would steal yours, too." (Once he grabs on, he'll never let go.)
Piggy for doggie treats, not flesh.
And then there's Piglet, also from the SPCA, "a real snugglebug," he tells us in first person. Does snuggling include gentle nibbling? "I get very stressed in the shelter environment," Piglet complains, but he's been living with a foster mom, and is "eager to learn and work for you." Just look at him: He's a snuggler, not a fighter.
