Joseph Swim, Stabbed in Buena Vista Park, Is Homicide No. 28

​The Medical Examiner's office moments ago identified the man murdered Tuesday morning in Buena Vista Park to SF Weekly: Joseph Swim, a 33-year-old man with no fixed address.

Swim was purportedly drinking in the park with a pair of companions including 30-year-old Michael Little. When Little and Swim had words about a woman, according to the San Francisco Police Department, tempers flared and Little allegedly stabbed Swim.

Little has been charged with murder; police were unable to immediately provide his prior criminal record, if any exists. Swim is the city's 28th homicide victim of the year and first since Kerry Dawson was killed in a barrage of gunfire while sitting in his car in Bayview last weekend.
