Jeff Adachi Says He Has 75,000 Signatures For 'Smart Reform' Pension Measure

• Hi cjroses- perhaps you're too young to realize that you're falling for the simple politics of jealousy created by the super rich. The middle class is disappearing, the wealth in the country is fewer and fewer hands and they spend it convincing you that you should make sure no one has it better than you. Well, when I was a young, my mother worked for large drug manufacturer, had a much better defined benefit plan than SF and healthcare fully paid for. The rich have taken that away and put it their own pockets. Adachi spent $5.00/signature which came from a billionaire venture capitalist. Don't fall for this. Instead fight for workers rights, and health care reform and being duped into this class struggle that's been going on since Reaganomics trickle down theory. Did it work? No!

• @c dave Your statement is not true. While half of the city employees pay 7.5%, the other half pay absolutely nothing into their pension funds.

• Please keep in mind that public employees already pay almost 7.5% of their salaries for their pensions which are fully funded. I don't see all the facts here.

• What is with these public employees? They have this bizarre sense of entitlement to gigantic benefits that no one in the private sector enjoys. Please stop whining...
