A grim case out of General Hospital...
Irving Jovel, who was last month arrested for allegedly raping his paralyzed roommate at San Francisco General Hospital, has a date in court today.

The 49-year-old is facing one count of forced sodomy, one cont of forced digital penetration, one count of forced sodomy against an incapacitated person, and one count of forced digital penetration against an incapacitated person stemming from the alleged June 5 attack.

The attack left Jovel's alleged victim -- a 52-year-old Cantonese-speaking man who can only communicate with his wife -- bloody and unnoticed for six hours until his wife's arrival.

Jovel will be in court today for the setting of a date for his preliminary hearing.
