San Francisco police have turned to the public for help in tracking down missing 15-year-old Caitlin McMahon, described as having attempted suicide "numerous" times. She left her Castro Street home yesterday evening without her prescription medication and has not been seen since.

McMahon was home for the weekend from a rehab center in Utah. In addition to a history of suicide attempts and going without her prescription anti-depressants, she is additionally described as a heavy drinker. She also has a couple of tattoos that should catch the eye of any quasi-alert passer-by:

On her left forearm are the words "This Too Shall Pass." On her right shoulder: "West Cost." That's what it says. Really.

The 5-foot-3, 130-pound girl was last seen dressed in a black leather jacket and carrying a black-and-white checkered tote bag. She tends to hang out in "various parks" in the city, Daly City, and Richmond. Should you see her, don't hesitate to call the Crime Intelligence Center at (415) 553-1071.
