A rough San Francisco weekend that witnessed the violent deaths of two young men claimed a third life late Sunday night.

The medical examiner moments ago identified Shanta Sparks, 33, as the man shot to death in a stopped car at Third an Innes at around 11:30 p.m. yesterday. A passenger in Sparks' vehicle was uninjured, according to police.

Sparks is the city's 18th homicide of the year; Ilya Yurchenkov* was gunned down on Friday on Geary and Lyon. On Saturday morning , 22-year-old Konstantin Tomashevsky was discovered crumpled in a heap at the bottom of  the Civic Center station elevator. BART police are investigating his "suspicious" death.

*Yurchenkov's death was later reclassified as a justifiable homicide and is not listed among those murdered in San Francisco this year.
