Heeeeeeeeeeeeeeey, Barack! How's my second-favorite Democratic presidential candidate?
Nice work if you can get it: President Barack Obama hit up San Franciscans yesterday to the tune of $1.7 million. Sen. Barbara Boxer's vulnerable re-election campaign will benefit to the tune of $600,000 with the rest heading to other Democratic Senate Candidates.

What do you get for a $2,000 cocktail event with the president? Well, an excuse to drink in the early afternoon. Also: A smorgasbord of every demonstrator on God's green earth, some speechifying, and a heckler:

To the protester shouting "Move faster on Don't Ask Don't Tell," the president had this to say:

"I have to say -- I saw this guy down in L.A. at a Barbara Boxer event about a month and a half ago. Two points I want to make ... He really should buy a ticket, if he wants to demonstrate, to a guy who doesn't support his point of view. He can yell as much as he wants there. The other point is, maybe he didn't read the newspapers. Because we are working with Congress as we speak to roll back Don't Ask Don't Tell. I actually think he does read the newspapers. ... His heart didn't seem in it. He said do it faster. It's like, c'mon man, I'm dealing with Congress here. it takes a little bit of time."

Later this morning, Obama will fly to Fremont via helicopter to tour a solar panel manufacturer.
