Driver Accused of Playing Human Frogger -- on Meth. With 'No Kidding' Mug Shot.

Pedestrians, beware

​A Santa Cruz man accused of driving while high on meth didn't do himself any favors by posing for this mug shot.

Abraham Kelly, 40, was arrested by Santa Cruz police following a "low-speed pursuit" through the west of Santa Cruz. Cops had been flagged down by several people reporting a green minivan driving erratically and purportedly targeting pedestrians intentionally just for the sheer joy of it.

Kelly's flight was hampered by a battalion of officers on the streets working the Amgen Tour of California cycling race. He was eventually cornered at a gas station, and arrested with an unusual cargo in his van:

• Alleged methamphetamine;

• A pair of "realistic looking BB guns";

• "Several masks and wigs."

​Kelly was booked into jail on possession of meth; DUI; and failing to stop for a police officer charges. According to the Santa Cruz Police Department, he has "an extensive local arrest record that includes narcotics related offenses and robbery."
