Potential Arizona Boycott Introduced Today. But That's Not All...

Text of Campos' resolution is not yet on the Web -- and certainly hasn't found its way into the supes' online meeting agenda. Our calls to the supervisor haven't yet been returned (it's early), so it's still unsure whether this boycott will delve into deep and messy details like pension funds invested in Arizona-based companies or city employees utilizing Arizona-based air transportation -- or just stick to the obvious, such as "no Phoenix conventions for you!"
If nothing else, San Francisco has made itself the center of attention again. Which makes the following items to also be featured at today's suddenly über-newsworthy Board of Supervisors meeting even more precious:

- The supes will decide upon an airport concession lease oddly described as a "Terminal 2 Book Store with Books, Inc." Bookstores with books are our favorite kind.*
- While they're at it, the supes will also mull over if Charles Chocolate, Inc. belongs at the airport. They don't seem to be headquartered in Arizona, so they're probably okay.
- The supes are set to greenlight $510,000 in lawsuit settlements against the city and $98,000 on our behalf. Win some, lose some.
- Because of the Arizona-based spotlight, even less attention will be paid to Alicia Culver's appointment to the Sweatfree Procurement Advisory Board than normally. Wait a second, we just rendered that untrue...
- Wait, wait! It's time for Supervisor Eric Mar's totally nonbinding resolution in support of Louis' Restaurant...
- My God, that music! It's Eric Mar's non-substantive legislation music! And it just won't stop. He's honoring Adolph Sutro on his 180th birthday! Congrats, Dolph! You don't look a day over 175!
- And, finally, a man going only by the name of "Matt" is officially submitting to the board that he opposes public power her in San Francisco. Thanks for sharing.
*Yes, we realize Books, Inc is the name of the company. Tip your waitresses!
An earlier version of this story stated the supes would be voting on the boycott measure today. It was introduced by Campos, but not voted upon.
