You Know What Would Be Cool? If the iPad Was Also a Hoverboard.
| Yeah, we can't believe the damn thing came out before the hoverboard either. |
So until the dust at select Apple and Best Buy retail locations settles, we will placate ourselves by drooling over Gizmodo's comprehensive list of apps, marvel at Scrabble's surprisingly forward-thinking iPhone tile-rack integration, and repeatedly harass the downtown San Francisco Apple store.
After 15 minutes of waiting on hold to "The Way You Do The Things You Do" this morning, a friendly customer service representative there told SF Weekly, "I've had a lot a people ask about getting into a line but don't know if anyone's actually in line at the moment."
Wait, why wait in line at all if the iPad is pre-order? Well, according to the Houston Chronicle, there will likely be two different lines.
Those who pre-ordered must pick up their purchases by 3 p.m., Apple has said. If they don't, a reserved iPad may be sold to a walk-up customer, and the pre-order buyer will have to wait for the next shipment.Hear that, San Francisco gadget crazies? Now's your chance to avoid the embarrassment of having to make due with a cardboard version until the damn thing gets back into stock. You know, when hell freezes over.
Meanwhile, we'll be sitting at home, waiting for Steve Jobs to invent time travel.
