A pickup truck and garbage truck collided at around 5 a.m. near the Caltrain station, reports KTVU. The pickup subsequently spun out, striking and killing a pedestrian -- and the driver of that vehicle has been detained by police following a sobriety test.

The Medical Examiner told SF Weekly they have not yet received the body of the deceased pedestrian, who remains unidentified at this time.

The collision resulted in the closure of the Fourth and King offramp from I-280 -- resulting in nightmarish commutes from the south. While Muni was uninvolved with the accident, the closure of Fourth and King has slowed N-Judah service to a crawl and halted the T-Third line. Mission Bay Commuters -- meet NextBus.
