Dianne Feinstein has decided not to ruin Jerry Brown's shot at the statehouse
Curtailing long months of speculation stoked by precious little substance, Sen. Dianne Feinstein yesterday told Orange County crowds she's not running for governor -- and, purportedly, let ostensible front-runner Jerry Brown know this is his thing to lose.

That may not be what Democratic big shots fixated on appealing to older, more conservative voters want to hear. And, speaking of "older" and "more conservative," Prince Frederic Von Anhalt, the eighth man Zsa Zsa Gabor said "I do" to, said he'll file his paperwork today with the Secretary of State to run for governor. Brown need not worry, however -- Anhalt plans to run as a "Liberal Independent."

"I will stay at home and promote California products," said the prince of his governing strategy. "We have the best avocados, oranges, wine, weather, beaches and Marijuana."
