Guerrilla Artist Assaults Aquatic Park

Word must have traveled quickly that the path to neighborhood artistic fame is littered with impromptu found-object sculptures. We recently noticed yet another ad-hoc sculpture garden, this one at the Aquatic Park beach.

Aaaaggghhhh! More Guerrilla Sculptures

​ Far be it for us to go around posing as art critics. And let the record reflect that we view the half dozen or so driftwood pieces erected last week at Aquatic Park to be bitchin'.

But we'd have to characterize these anonymous pieces as whimsical recreations, rather than the painstaking masterworks that Vazquez will now be building and re-building in the southeastern part of the city. In fact, we're surmising they'll be gone by the time you read this. So enjoy.
