Pack of 15 Sea Lions Patrols Mission Creek

BARK! BARK! BARK! BARK!
Not so long ago SF Weekly reported on the exploding number of sea lions on Hyde Street Harbor -- a situation deemed an "infestation" by those charged with keeping the city's piers operational and relatively sea lion excrement-free.

It seems, however, that the sea lions have found a new neighborhood to patrol -- the suburbs to the dense metropolis that is Pier 39 and Fisherman's Wharf. They're heading to Mission Creek and McCovey Cove in droves. The photographs and film here were shot yesterday; as many as 15 or more lions moseyed up and back the canal at a time.
