Cutting the Deficit: How Can Newsom, Supes Bring in Some Cash?

There's a slight chill in the air and that lovely smell of Northern California winters is upon us. And you know what that means -- the city's broke. Again.

Mayor Gavin Newsom is a restaurant man, so he's familiar with eateries' tradition of framing their first dollars. Perhaps San Francisco can frame its last dollar? Or perhaps not -- maybe Newsom and the supervisors will find creative new ways of bringing in much-needed moolah to our starving city:

Newsom's work emptying out bottles was inspirational to his governmental colleagues. Supervisor Eric Mar decided that, for a change, he'd do something substantive as well:
