Code Pink Coyly Noncommital on Whether They'll Crash Obama's Tee Time at Harding Park

Categories: Politics
During this weekend's President's Cup Golf Tournament at Harding Park, Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, and President Barack Obama are all scheduled to be within cigar smoke-blowing distance of one-another, and 25,000 fans are expected to attend.

There hasn't been a development this exciting in the Outer Sunset since ... well, since The Big Bang, really.

But will attendees be treated to women in blindingly pink attire protesting America's ongoing wars within earshot of the president? We asked Code Pink's San Francisco grassroots coordinator Rae Abileah -- and, like most folks about to attempt a shot out of the bunker, she wasn't exactly certain what was going to happen.

"You should be on the lookout on Sunday," she said mischievously. When pressed for more details, however, she said there weren't any.

So, Code Pink may or may not join the spectacle of basketball's most bitter hall-of-famer, the first billion-dollar athlete, and the president all crossing paths out by the dunes. Here's what's for certain, however: The chances of Code Pink shouters being allowed within a metric mile of the president -- should he even attend -- are about the same as their opting to shell out the 75-buck Harding Park entry fee (and it's sold out to boot).

If Code Pink does mingle with the golfing crowd, however, Abileah conceded that their outlandish attire, for once, would not clash but be par for the course.
