You Kids! Get ON My Lawn: PARK(ing) Day Under Way.

PARK(ing) Day was dreamed up by Rebar, a San Francisco-based art and design collective, and invites participants to convert a parking space into a green space that becomes a spontaneous public park for a day. The spaces aren't just meant to be ogled; passersby are invited to stop and hang out.
The scenes captured in these photographs were taking place outside Ritual coffee shop. And the women carting the enormous plants out of the back of the truck had also unloaded some board games and a bin of records -- so if drinking some coffee and playing in the street sounds like a great way to spend an already gorgeous day, get thee to the corner of 21st and Valencia. Or maybe you prefer to sit inside all day and blog, instead. That's cool, too.
