Don't be fooled!

Don't say the Snitch never makes good on its name. Here's the inside scoop: If you're driving around in Glen Park on Wednesday morning, be warned. From 7 a.m. to noon, those pedestrians jumping out in the cross walks in front of oncoming traffic are not merely innocent commuters late for work. They are not just too busy listening to their iPods to notice cars coming at them.

They are police officers hoping you'll fail to yield to them just so they can slap you with a fat ticket. They are tenacious and mean business.

The sting operation was advertised in the Ingleside police station daily report on Tuesday, which announced with great cheer: "The results in tomorrow's newsletter!" Just like your high school health teacher warned, don't be a statistic. Especially one in the Ingleside newsletter. Yield and smile. Make a grandiose hand gesture indicating "You first, man" for extra points.

The locations for the trap are:

  • Bosworth and Chilton
  • Bosworth and the SB280 on-ramp
  • Joost and Brompton
  • Joost and Monterey
  • Geneva and London
