Handful of Local, Familiar Names on United Football League Rosters

Along similar lines, former Mexican National Team goalkeeper Jorge Campos -- who looked like this -- said "if you look good, you feel good. If you feel good, you play good."
So, what to do when, at the starting point, you look bad? Because, sorry, the United Football League's uniforms are just no damn good. But, glancing at the list of training camp rosters for the league's four squads released yesterday, some of these players are. And, beneath those sorry, Jolly Rancher-green jerseys-- you may be familiar with some of these guys.
First, the home California Redwoods. The team features a number of names familiar to Bay Area football fans including linebacker Anthony Felder, long-snapper Nick Sundberg, and linebacker Worrell Williams, all formerly of U.C. Berkeley; and U.C. Davis wide receiver Brandon Rice.
Around the league, other notable local products include: former Stanford safety David Lofton (New York Sentinels) and former Cal guard Erik Robertson.
Pro football fans might recognize the following names (among others): Former 49ers quarterback Tim Rattay (Las Vegas Locos); St. Louis Rams wideout and kick returner Az Hakim (Locos); Buffalo QB J.P. Losman (Locos); Arizona Cardinals running back Marcell Shipp (Locos); standout Tampa Bay Bucs standout defensive end Simeon Rice; Denver Broncos running back Tatum Bell (Florida Tuskers); Seattle Seahawks wideout and return man Koren Robinson; Denver and Carolina punter Todd Sauerbrun; much-traveled tight end Jermaine Wiggins (Tuskers); and similarly much-traveled fullback Obafemi Ayanbadejo (Redwoods).
