City's Proposed $90,670.20 Settlement -- Yes, 20 Cents -- Gets Green Light, Needs Only Board Approval

The $90,670.20 settlement that led SF Weekly this week to ponder how 20 cents get tossed onto five-figure deal was approved today by the Board of Supervisors' Rules Committee.

The proposed payout to former Recreation and Parks Public Information Officer Rose Marie Dennis -- who alleged that her supervisor, then-department head Yomi Agunbiade religiously and sexually harassed her ... in writing -- now only requires an up vote from the full board of supes on Oct. 6.

Supervisors Chris Daly and David Campos gave the settlement proposal the thumbs-up, while colleague Michela Alioto-Pier was not present when the vote was taken as was "in and out" during today's meeting according to committee clerk Linda Wong.

SF Weekly
had hoped reticent and cautious city insiders would give up some details after today's vote, but it looks like we'll have to wait until October. C'est la vie.
