Source: Video Exonerates Driver of Cheaper Car In Bizarre Pontiac-Aston Martin Accident

Emotions among the small army of rescue personnel gathered in the garage varied wildly. A San Francisco Police Officer took one look at the situation and blew his top: "You know this is totally stupid, right?" he shouted at the driver of both the Aston and the Pontiac nestled tightly beside it. "This is private property and I am not making a stupid report about this."
Meanwhile, a jolly, axe-wielding fireman exclaimed "awesome!" loudly enough for both drivers to hear him.
The Aston driver and Pontiac driver each claimed the other was at fault -- and both said they'd be exonerated by the footage from the nearby security camera. Building management wouldn't let SF Weekly view the video -- and, full disclosure, the paper is a building tenant -- but we did find someone who had seen the footage. And, speaking on condition of anonymity, that person told us that it was the motorist in the cheaper car whose tale withstood the replay challenge.
Our source said that the Pontiac driver's claim -- that the Aston man had been impatiently honking at him before swerving around the Pontiac on the left -- was borne out.
The Aston man, incidentally, had claimed that the Pontiac driver rapidly accelerated out of a parking spot. Since the Pontiac man claimed his back was injured in the mini-collision -- and, conveniently, already had a pair of crutches at the ready -- the Aston driver intimated he was the victim of a shakedown.
Oh well. We're guessing that if you can afford to buy an Aston, you can afford to get it fixed.
