Yesterday we reported that the city's entry in the fledgling United Football League will be named after the largest sedentary organisms in the world: The California Redwoods.

It would seem that the city's trees, long neglected as source material for professional sports franchises, are taking the news well. Your humble narrator encountered the above arboreal superfan at Fillmore and Duboce. And while the Redwoods' first game isn't until October 8, it seems this fella has already got his game face on.
