Vandals May Think We're A Rag; but the Guardian Is a Crapper

It's not easy being a newspaper dispenser in the Mission. We were walking down Valencia this week and saw that many of the SF Weekly boxes had been adorned/defaced with graffiti, but this poor, beat-up guy in particular had been turned into:
1. Homeless clothes storage
2. A fire hazard ready to go up in flames.
3. A comment on our paper being a rag?

With the newspaper industry tanking, the Missionites sure know how to knock a brother while he's down. It wasn't the first time: A couple months back, we chronicled a certain Sunday that someone had hurled the SF Weekly box into the 24th/Mission BART plaza. Someone has since devised a solution, interlocking us with El Mensajero for support. Gracias, amigo.

But just as we were nursing our wounds, someone sent us this photo of the Guardian box yesterday, as seen outside La Rondalla on 20th and Valencia. Suddenly, we felt just a little bit better:

The Guardian box had been turned into:

1. A free yet deceptive toilet for the homeless.
2. A target to entrap the long-dormant Porta-Potty arsonist.
3. A comment on the Guardian being a crapper?
