S.F. Signs of the Apocalypse: No Shoes, No Shirt, No Dice.

A plethora of businesses, especially those that deal in selling alcohol late into the evening, find it necessary to remind their customers that it's nice to wear clothes while shopping.

This is a bilingual, illustrated take on the concept posted by Mission District liquor store, King's Market. I like the calm, explanatory nature of the text: "Please come in this store, fully clothed. Because -- this is a public place." And I love the confidently executed drawings of "right" and "wrong": A smiling man in a tank top versus a frowning man sans tank top. Either of these guys looks like they would be at home at Melrose Place (where they are way tolerant of dudes taking their shirts off.) Also, the wearing of a tank top seems to be the harbinger of a sunny day, while failing to wear a tank top ensures that the sun will be blotted out.

In the words of Brad Hamilton, learn it, know it, live it.
