It's a rare person who hasn't experienced the disappointment of a pilfered food item from a communal fridge, and that disappointment can be dealt with in a number of ways. Passive-aggressive notes are common. Yelling is big. My personal favorite is the getting even approach, which involves leaving an unwanted food item front and center in the fridge, infused with say, ex-lax, for the culprit's next unauthorized meal.
But on Thursday on the 300 block of Raymond Street in the Viz Valley, somebody took the disappearance of an egg especially hard. The cops got the "very dangerous call" at 5:17 p.m. and responded to the scene, where a male and his female roommate had been arguing about the egg. The egg in question had gone missing from the refrigerator, and the man had ultimately decided to whip out a gun.
When police searched the place, they found a realistic-looking pellet
gun, and they also discovered that the man was on probation and had a
warrant for his arrest. It's unclear whether the incident had some
deeper significance, or the man was just a bad egg. (Cue
hysterical laughter).
