An Artistic Rendering of San Francisco's Pension Problem -- Or Some Psychic, Hairless Cats Giving a Blowjob

This morning, I read in the Matier & Ross column about how retired San Francisco employees continue to suck at the increasingly slow-dripping spigot of city funds, in some cases collecting pensions in excess of $200,000 a year. Then I noticed this drawing on my desk. It was a present from Andy Wright.

It seemed immediately obvious that when Andy Wright thinks about excessive pensions, she is reminded of a squad of hairless cats, performing furious oral sex on a human penis. As you can see in Wright's drawing, the blowjob given by the cats -- however skillful it may have been -- has pretty much come to an end. But their tongues are still outstretched toward a delicious reward that could easily serve a more noble purpose. For instance, impregnating someone (an obvious symbol of funding city services).

When I asked Andy about this, she denied that her picture and the pension situations were related. She said the drawing -- which she completed nearly a year ago -- was actually a depiction of a dream she had, in which her friend Javier received a blow job from some psychic, hairless cats then tried to convince her to go get serviced herself. Whatever.

Here's Andy, refusing to take credit for her own genius as usual.
