A Murder Most Foul: Douglas Johnson, Stabbed To Death In Bayview-Hunters Point, Is City's 22nd Homicide

The San Francisco Medical Examiner's office has told SF Weekly that the man found stabbed to death in Bayview at 12:49 Monday morning by the San Francisco Police Department was Douglas Johnson, a 49-year-old San Franciscan. Police reports state Johnson got out of his parked car on the 1600 block of La Salle Avenue to speak with a 44-year-old black man, who subsequently stabbed him in the chest before fleeing the scene on foot.

No arrests have yet been made in the stabbing. Johnson is the 22nd homicide victim in the city this year, and the first since Robert Matas was found stabbed to death in the Kezar Stadium parking lot in the wee hours last Wednesday.
