Dallas Police Confirm Alleged Texas Impostor Cop Ryan Caskey Not Same Person As Alleged USF Rapist Ryan Caskey

The Dallas Police Department confirmed to SF Weekly that Texas fugitive Ryan Caskey -- a man accused of falsifying a police and military background and arresting suspects alongside cops in Dallas and Arlington -- is not the same man as the former University of San Francisco and ROTC student accused of raping four undergraduates.

"Close -- but no," said a Dallas Police spokeswoman. In "close," she meant that both Ryan Caskeys are listed as being 21 or 22 years old, hailing from California, and having (or claiming to have) military backgrounds.

The San Francisco Caskey pleaded not guilty to four counts of rape of an unconscious person and four more counts of assault with force likely to produce great bodily injury. Meanwhile, the Texas Caskey is wanted for impersonating a public servant -- a felony punishable by up to a decade behind bars and a $10,000 fine.
