DA Raids City College Offices In Money Laundering Investigation

City College of San Francisco's Gough Street offices were raided today by DA investigators as part of an ongoing investigation of alleged money laundering during a 2005 bond campaign.

Tens of thousands of dollars due to CCSF in rent was instead diverted to a campaign measure promoting a ballot proposition -- which subsequently passed, granting the school $246 million in rebuilding funds.

Disturbingly, staff within the city's Ethics Commission have alleged that knowledge of the money laundering was known to them more than a year before the story broke -- but was suppressed.

More as we know more, folks.
