Sometimes it takes a 300-pound man to sit on a suspect until the police show up to catch an alleged murderer. In other cases, a $25,000 reward for witnesses to come forward could make the police's job a little easier. The San Francisco Police Department wants details, anything at all, about the fatal shooting of 21-year-old Brandon Lee Evans in Golden Gate Park at about 11:00 p.m. on November 29 last year.

According to the police, Evans had gone to an outdoor party, promoted via the internet and word of mouth, at the horseshoe pit near Conservatory Drive. Evans was shot when he went to fetch something out of his car parked nearby. He returned to the party and collapsed.

The Mayor's Office authorized a $25,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect(s). Anyone with information should contact the SFPD Homicide Section at 553-1145, or the Confidential Tip Line at 575-4444.
