Will DMC-12 Time Travel Fuel Chronicle's 'New Era' Initiative?

Categories: Media

According to graphic data retrieved by SF Weekly's computer-assisted reporting team, a "New Era" initiative announced in the Feb. 1 San Francisco Chronicle may include time travel with the help of a specially modified Northern-Irish-made sports car fitted with a flux capacitor and other devices.

Under the headline "S.F. Chronicle turns the page into a new era," a story bylined "Ward Bushee" states: "In June, when we flip the switch on the most modern newspaper presses in the United States, readers can look forward to a high-definition version of the Chronicle," and then adds, "Change does come hard, and we ask our readers for their patience as our dust clears and the new Chronicle emerges."

The story, however, is accompanied by an age-enhanced photograph of Marty McFly, the legendary time explorer and protagonist of the film Back to the Future. SF Weekly's research suggest's Bushee/McFly is a time traveler bringing post-atomic-age newspaper technology to the present-day reader.
