For Sale: New College's Last Shred of Dignity

It's over for New College of California, folks. Finally, completely and utterly over. There's nothing that could communicate such utter finality at San Francisco's hippie dippie school of higher education on Valencia Street -- home to so many students of activism and women's spirituality, so much lax record-keeping and administrative mismanagement -- as an estate sale of just about everything in the place.
Need a file cabinet formerly full of records that apparently were never kept? A graduation gown for a student who's degree program got whacked before they could get their diploma? Come one, come all, it's being sold off like Grandmother's china from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. this weekend.
From the looks of the ad, the school is pretty much in the same state as when the school closed its doors earlier this year before the Western Association of Schools and Colleges pulled its accreditation in February.
Here's your chance to support sustainability by re-using fans, books, electronics, and even the trusty coffee bar instead of buying it new or hauling the stuff off to the dump. New College would have wanted it that way.
