State Supreme Court To Review Gay Marriage Ban

• I don't like the way this is going for marriage equality. Justice Kennard, who was in the majority for In re Marriage Cases and one of the two cases that overturned a proposition as a revision, would have dismissed the suits as to the amendment v. revision question, but let them file on whether the marriages already entered-into would remain valid. The three questions the court asked included whether the previous marriages would remain valid, which I don't think was brought up in any of the suits. Sounds like a compromise is on its way. Prop 8 will likely stand, but the previous marriages will as well.
