State Supreme Court To Review Gay Marriage Ban

Categories: Breaking News

no-pr8-for-you.jpgThe Supreme Court of California just announced that it will consider the constitutional challenge to the anti-gay marriage Proposition 8, but it will not issue a stay, which means the state considers gay marriages illegal pending the outcome of the constitutional challenge.

San Francisco, San Jose, and Los Angeles counties filed a public sector litigation on Nov. 5 challenging the ban, which voters approved by a narrow margin on Nov. 4.
