What's the Funniest Thing about Gavin Newsom's SUV Being Hit by a MUNI Bus?

• Really, you want the mayor to take the bus to Mission and 24th? Seriously. If you have ever been near a Newsom press conference, you know that the weirdest, drunkest, and quite possibly most psychopathic crazies manage to recognize the mayor and go off and on a wild tirade. There are some seriously deranged people in this city. And you want the mayor locked in a bus and possibly shived by them? Being around famous people seems to make crazy people do crazy shit. Do you people ever think outside your tiny little bubble?

• Wannabe Guv loves the pom & circumstances. Tell ya what Gal...when the city has a disaster continue driving east from the city while if one occurs. We would be better off with less show and more go!

• The accident was pretty ironic, but even more outrageous was Newsoms subsequent filling of a disability claim - apparently he suffered a bruised ego and his hair was knocked out of alignment.

• Newsom claims he can work on his phone in Hawaii during the Bay Bridge collision yet he needs a replacement car here - he just couldn't Muni (or taxi) back to City Hall. Unlike Bloomberg who makes a point of taking Public Transit to work.

• 5. Muni driver apologizes, says he was aiming for a different SUV; 4. Gavin says San Franciscans will have to get used to being hit by Muni buses, "Whether you like it or not." 3. If a hybrid bus hits a hybrid SUV ... is this progress? 2. Chris Daly seen fleeing the scene on his Schwinn ... 1. "Three cheers for the bus-driver, the bus-driver, the bus-driver ..."

• I find it hilarious they make such a big deal about it being a "hybrid" and yet it still gets such lousy mileage. It doesn't matter if it's a "hybrid" if you're still getting 15-20 mpg. even funnier - they drove it all the way to Montana and back this summer. gave mother earth a nice kick in the teeth in the process...
