Well, there you have it. What do you get for the police department that has everything -- dirt bikes, choppers, Harleys, planes, a tank, boats, horses, Whitney's cotton gin?

How about the most adorable little Daisy Duke-style Jeep?

Sgt. Neville Gittens of the SFPD confirmed that the department has two such Jeeps, which he said are utilized to go off-road in Golden Gate Park.

As to what this one was doing in Mission Bay, Gittens wasn't sure. --Joe Eskenazi

Between the jeeps, the dirtbikes, the mountain bikes, and the horses, the SFPD is ready to go Normandy on Golden Gate Park. Take note, Park junkies and thieves, currently lying lackadaisically in plain sight.

When you put all of these specialized vehicles and equipment together, our police force starts to look like 1980s era GI Joe action figure line. I expect next year we will have a hydrofoil and an F-16. And a ton of gun violence and residents who don't trust the police, because toys are valued, and community relations are not.
