Seriously, Go Vote.
If you're lucky, like me, you live within 100 feet of a polling place and some kindly volunteer slaps a reminder to participate in the democratic process right on the front of your house.
I vote inside a public elementary school before I go to work, right around the time the kids are getting dropped off by their parents. So as I was completing the little arrow drawings, I was treated to the sounds of a child sobbing and screaming uncontrollably while his father quietly chastised him, "Now, this isn't fair to your mother. Don't make her feel like this. She's got a lot of work to do."
Ovaries cringing, I thought, Geez, I never want one of those.
Then the kids assembled in the cafeteria behind me broke into a chorus of "Lean on Me", hitting the breakdown right around the point I was feeding my ballots to the Ballot-Eating-Machine. (I'm pretty sure that's the technical term for it.) And I was like, Oh, they're not so bad! Quiver! America is awesome!
Anyway, go vote.
(And go here if you can't if you can't find your polling place.)
