Homicide Update: 2008 Bigger Than 2007 So Far

According to the Mayor's Office of Criminal Justice, on this date in 2007 there were 35 homicides.
On this date (today) in 2008, there have been 39.
Victims are also trending younger. According to Supervisor Ross Mirkarimi, 2007 had a total of three homicide victims under 18. 2008 has had three victims under 18 so far.
