Your Black Muslim Bakery Photos on the Auction Block

The Oakland Tribune reported yesterday that framed photographs of late Your Black Muslim Bakery leader Yusuf Ali Bey that once hung in the now infamous hot-fish-sandwich-dispensary will go up for auction March 25 at 11 a.m. Bey died of cancer in 2003, while facing charges of raping underage girls. His two successors met rapid and untimely deaths, and the third was arrested under suspicious of vandalizing two West Oakland liquor stores. The bakery was raided Aug. 3 by police for connections to several crimes, including the killing of Oakland Post editor Chauncey Bailey, who was investigating the activities of the bakery.
