SF Gate: You Know What's Weird? Violent Beatings.
Here's a sampling of the kinds of stories found in the 'Weird News' section of the Chronicle's Web site: a story about how British spies hired an astrologer to write horoscopes for Hitler, a story about how an American Idol star was once a stripper, and a story about a McDonald's in Los Angeles that adheres to the tenets of feng shui. And then there's this story, under the title 'Guys, It Was An Accident. AN ACCIDENT!':
A man was on life-support Sunday night after being beaten by two other men in the aftermath of a vehicle collision in Oakland, according to police.The victim and the two men were apparently in two separate vehicles that collided in the 9800 block of C Street in east Oakland around 6:45 p.m., according to Oakland Police Officer J. Moore. The two men apparently then beat the victim until he was unconscious, Moore said. No more information was available about the incident.Wow, weird! — Andy Wright
